Hot on the announcement of the worlds first luxury round the world motorbike tour, Discovery Moto Tours are adding over 20 excursions to the tours - all for free.
PHUKET, THAILAND, November 01, 2008 /Motorcycles PR News/ -- In stage one from London to Istanbul, Turkey through 19 countries the highlights include the best driving road in the world as voted by BBC's Top Gear - The Stelvio Pass in the Italian Alp's, while in Salzburg, visit the largest beer cellars in Europe and rising out of the Transylvanian mist explore Bran Castle, made famous as the home of Count Dracula in Bram Stoker's novel.
For stage two, Istanbul to Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia which takes in nine countries, excursions includes the Blue Mosque of Istanbul, a pampering stay at the five star hotel at Baku Azerbaijan and the "Pearl of the East", Samarkand, the oldest and best-preserved of the oasis-cities on the famous Silk Road and one of the many UNESCO World Heritage sites en route.
For stage three that is from Ulaanbaatar to Magadan, Far Eastern Russia though traveling through only two countries this stage represents some 5,000km and 4 weeks. A relaxing two day break on the shores of the world's greatest and beautiful Lake Baikal were you will be able to swim, eat or go boating. An added test for any biker, is the Zilvo Gap - the most challenging 1168km of roads plus the infamous remote Road of Bones, the 2420km to Magadan.
And for stage four, Anchorage, Alaska and on to New York USA, having the bikes airlifted to the wild and beautiful Alaska, trips include a special cruise to the Kenai Fjords Glacial National Park in the Gulf of Alaska to spot whales, seals and sea lions. A private charter flight to camp on the top of a mountain to the gaze at the famous Northern Lights under the stars, a trip to Mount Rushmore national memorial, seeing 'Old Faithful' geyser at Yellowstone National Park and go whitewater rafting and the 'must-see-once-in-a-lifetime' Niagara Falls.
